President's Message

To our many members, friends and neighbors,

Happy New Year! Our Great Train Exhibit continues to provide a memorable experience for visitors of all ages. If you have not had a chance to stop by, you have just over 2 weeks. Please introduce yourself to one of our "trainmen" as they are a dedicated bunch! Perhaps you'll be bitten by their enthusiasm and become a trainmen or women yourself – we could use more volunteers!

Our 5th annual lecture series in collaboration with the Wilton Library Association is a highlight of the next couple of months. The series "The American Civil War – A Connecticut Focus" will focus on Connecticut's role. The individual lectures will be titled:

New this year, we will introduce moderators for the question and answer period. Look for registration details in the next week or so. As in the past, registration will be done by the Library and you must register for each lecture separately. Thank you again to the Wilton Bank for being our lead sponsor for this series.

Since 1938, we have been dedicated to preserving the history and character of our town. Over the years our not-for-profit organization has achieved a great deal with a core of dedicated volunteers and the continued financial support of our members. We invite you to join us!

Did you know…

Now we want to share our resources with the community. As our community changes so rapidly, we think it’s even more important that our residents understand and appreciate our town’s rich heritage.

And we need the financial support through memberships and donations of the broader community.

As Co-Presidents, we invite you to explore and enjoy our web site and then come to see for yourself – The Wilton Historical Society and Heritage Museum, Wilton’s hidden treasure!
